Warzone Tournament Prize Pools Explained: Entry Fees, Platform Fees and Payouts
Warzone Tournament Prize Pools Explained
Prize pools on DropZone are transparent by design. Here is exactly how the money flows from entry to payout.
How the prize pool is built
A tournament's prize pool is the sum of every confirmed entry. For a tournament with an entry fee, that means the number of confirmed teams multiplied by the team size multiplied by the per-player entry fee. Free-entry tournaments can still carry a cash prize pool funded by the organiser.
The platform fee
DropZone takes a 5% platform fee from the entry pool. This covers operations, payment processing and secure payouts. The remaining 95% is the winners' pool — the money that actually gets distributed to the top finishers.
How prizes are distributed
Each tournament publishes its prize distribution, showing what percentage of the winners' pool goes to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and beyond. You can see the exact pound amounts for each placement in the tournament lobby, calculated live from the current confirmed entries.
Getting paid
After a tournament completes and results are approved, winnings are credited to your DropZone wallet. From there, you can withdraw your balance through your chosen payout method, or keep it in your wallet to enter future tournaments.
